What is the Halosperm Test?

The Halosperm Test (Sperm Chromatin Dispersion) is a sophisticated diagnostic tool that goes beyond standard sperm counts. It uses advanced technology to visualize the "halo" of DNA around a sperm cell.

  • Large Halo: Indicates healthy, intact DNA.

  • Small/Absent Halo: Signals DNA fragmentation.

 

The Problem: Why Standard Analysis Isn't Enough

 

Many men with "normal" sperm counts still have high levels of DNA damage.

  • The Analogy: A standard semen analysis only tells us if the "delivery truck" (the sperm) is moving.

  • The Halosperm Difference: This test tells us if the "cargo" (the DNA) inside the truck is damaged.

 

High DNA fragmentation is a leading cause of:
