Female Hormone Profile
Service Description
Our Female Hormone Profile looks at the crucial hormones that control your menstrual cycle and fertility. Note: For the most accurate baseline, this blood test is typically drawn between Day 2 and Day 5 of your menstrual cycle. Estradiol (E2): The primary female sex hormone. It is essential for healthy egg development and preparing the lining of your uterus for pregnancy. Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH): The hormone responsible for stimulating your ovaries to grow and mature an egg each month. Luteinizing Hormone (LH): The hormone that triggers ovulation. Looking at the ratio between your LH and FSH levels is a key indicator for conditions like PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome). Prolactin: Often called the stress or lactation hormone. Abnormally high levels of prolactin can actively suppress ovulation and cause your periods to stop entirely. Need a Custom Profile? We know that every patient’s journey is different. If you are working with an international IVF clinic, or your consultant has requested specific markers (such as Progesterone, Thyroid panels, or AMH), we can tailor your blood test. We can test any hormone and build a customised profile that meets your exact clinical requirements. Who is this test for? This hormone profile is the ideal starting point if you: Have been trying to conceive and want to establish a clear baseline. Are experiencing irregular, unusually heavy, or completely missing periods. Are preparing for an upcoming IVF cycle and need mandatory blood tests. Are feeling fatigued or suspect a hormonal imbalance.
